FALLING for:

    shiny hair
      sparkling eyes
        shimmery nails
           luscious lips
             dewy skin

I'm really behind because at this time of the year I should really be talking about and sharing spring of 2013. But how many women really care about spring right now?

Aerin Lauder is truly her grandmother's granddaughter. She is such a beautiful example of today's young woman. These colors are so light and beautiful - BRAVO!
Essie is one of my favorites - I love their colors and the price.

Tarte is a new brand for me as of last year, but I like what I see, the reviews and personally.

I know I've said it before but I will say it again: PURPLE is a must this Fall, but to be honest, purple is a must for me every year. Such a clear, gorgeous color for all of us. Whether for makeup, apparel, even the scent of lavender will never go out of style.

I actually have a beautiful silk green pantsuit - such a classic. My double breasted suit is probably five or more years old. Looks stylish and as new as the day I bought it. And the green will NEVER go out of style.

I was applying my blush the other day and my brush is old and felt rough, yikes!  hint - hint my lovely children - I could use a new set of makeup brushes :)     Wonderful brushes make such a difference.  And, please - have your Q-tips nearby. I couldn't apply my mascara without them. A tried and true product none of us can live without.

Something else we women can't live without is moisturizer. My youngest, beautiful daughter, Alyssa, an artist for a major company in the apparel business, is only 23, but I tell her to moisturize several times a day. Start NOW - don't wait. My oldest daughter - and she is just as beautiful has dry skin and Morgan does keep her skin in check. She's finishing law school in Utah where the weather is cold during these winter months - so she is learning first hand what cold, dry weather can do to skin. I don't care if you use vaseline - use something!  I love not wearing makeup and moisturizing several times a day. Yes! Several times a day.  I will splash water gently on my face, pat almost dry and then layer on my choice of moisturizer. I like that soft, dewy look after applying moisturizer.

Wondering what I use?  I have tried plenty of brands in my time - including product from my doctor with a hefty price tag. I always go back to neutrogena. I will switch around with their moisturizers, but right now I'm using SPF 15, oil-free moisture. Again, several times a day. I have a bottle in my bathroom and my second bottle, which is almost empty, on my nightstand next to my bed.  Genes are important - but so is effort :)
