Its Friday and I'm up stalking Joss & Main - I love their offerings of home decor goodies. From furnishings, fabric, pillows, drapes, kitchen items, bedding, books and bags. Their pricing can be utterly outrageously low to super expensive, but much more in the price range we can all appreciate. Of late I really, really love the chandeliers that come in so many varieties and colors. Major come back - especially the sweet, smaller chandeliers. I'll post one of my favorites.

Color Trend for 2013

I love yellow. I once had a house painted a beautiful, pale yellow. This shade - "Lemon Sorbet" goes with every color under the sun. From decor to fashion this color is becoming a neutral that I know more and more people will fall in love with.

 

 

 

 

 

Small Spaces Speaking Big

 

 

 

 

Here's a cute idea. A small kitchen with plaid walls! Hmmmm...would have never thought of it but it works here. A cute small eat in kitchen in a Swedish apartment with a white subway tile backsplash, modern stainless hood, white cabinets and plaid wallpaper on all of the other walls. The plaid works here. Not too overwhelming. Just right. Adds a bit of whimsy and visual interest to what could end up being just a regular small space.

Amazing too that they were able to fit a little round table with some clear Louis Ghost chairs into the design mix. I like.


How to live in 560 sq foot apartment: white, bright walls - not beige, clear glass or lucite pieces, light colored furniture and accessories,  pocket doors, and sheer window coverings - the more light you allow in the better.

My passion for fashion is just as important as my passion for decor, so, this blog will be a combination of both. After all - our interiors normally mirror our fashion sensibilities. Through color, fabric, texture, design, furnishings and so much more - I hope to invoke an interest, curiosity and possibly a passion for both.

A Fall Cowl

When I have to keep my hands busy - I love to knit. Here is a project I just finished. The perfect cowl for fall and winter months.
