As I promised more fun:

I have always preferred men's cologne - why: because its not a floral smell. Just saying.

I said earlier purple  will be a fall 2012 color. I've always worn purple through the years. I think its a color that looks great on everyone. And, remember, age is just a number. All ages can wear purple. I think what's important is the shade.

Cherry lips will be with us forever. Since the days of the earliest movie stars to what you see in the ad - red lips are here to stay. Again, remember the shade: blue red or orange red depending on your skin color.

I find women can have a heavy hand when it comes to using a makeup brush. Start light and build up a color -soft and natural for the face. I am a lover of dark smokey eyes at night, but you have to accent the eyes or your cheeks and lips. You don't want to look like a crayola box.

My fav issue of Vogue just arrived -  Fall Fashions and this issue is also celebrating 120 years of  style. From what I've been reading and love love love the pictures from everywhere - purple and gray will be seen everywhere this Fall.

 I want to share Silkies with you. I love their tights and the colors and textures are fantastic. Plus, these tights seem to last forever. I've worn tights since high school and I continue to wear tights today because they make a statement - no matter what color.

A lot of gray and purple will be seen, but Ralph Lauren's Fall colors are striking. Why is it his models look like the "stepford wives" - young and gorgeous.

I have a few finger nail and makeup pics and one picture of Steve McQueen. He was "the man" for many years and made the cover of Bazaar. Catch the Thomas Crown Affair - Faye Dunaway wore fabulous outfits in the original  film from the 60's  and the remake with Pierce Bronson and Renee Russo is HOT - including the clothes.

Zcloset

Zcloset will be informative, creative, vintage, what's in, what's out, colorful, and, most important, something for everyone - age is only a number in Zcloset.    

I will post style icons, tried and true brands, old - no I won't use that word - new and improved and fun methods of applying makeup. What's more titillating than sliding a new color of eye shadow or lipstick down your finger or wrist when we hope no one is watching to explore a new color?  Lets be honest - we've all DONE IT. 

I may not always love a color, but I put the eye shadow and/or lipstick back very neatly.  Thank goodness in a department store the counter girl applies the colors and if I walk out empty handed - no need to feel guilty.

With fashion I love so many different styles and especially mixing and matching patterns and colors, but; I believe in every woman's Zcloset there must be a few classic basics. For instance: a beautiful white, french cuffed shirt, black jacket, slim pants, maxi skirt. I'll stop at here  - but you get my point.

I'm jazzed with my first attempt at blogging with much more to come including my Friday $15 day, Monday news, city finds, new lines of makeup and products - shoes and my favorite hosiery's especially for Fall its around the corner my favorite season.   Stay tuned!
